Bethesda Passage

Manhattan, New York has its own unique style and this gorgeous architecture hidden beneath Central Park was a true gem. I stumbled across it on the way to the Bethesda Fountain and knew I had to get it on film. My challenge was people, lots of people I was surprised by the number of people around on that cold winters day. So how could I get this beautiful structure on film without people? I took a series of long exposures when I felt the light was right, and I finally took a long enough exposure to fade out the passers by. The image has an almost surreal painterly feel capturing the true spirt of New York.
